Detailed Creative Dramatics Curriculum
THE CURTAINS UP CURRICULUM IS A FREE, 16 LESSON INTRODUCTORY COURSE IN CREATIVE DRAMATICS FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS.
THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO EIGHT UNITS—EACH CONTAINING TWO LESSONS.
The lesson plans and accompanying videos are designed to help people with or without theater training to successfully teach the course. Each lesson contains a detailed plan for 45 to 60 minutes of content taught through theater games and activities. Teachers should feel free to adapt the lessons to fit their specific class sizes, age groups, and time constraints. The course concludes with a simple workshop performance for students to present for family and friends.
