CHANGE 3 THINGS: A DRAMA GAME for KIDS
Testing Observation Skills

Actors are students of people.  They watch and observe even the simplest details about a person, and use those details to create believable characters. This exercise tests a student’s observational skills.

(NO VIDEO AVAILABLE)

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

  • Pair up, and ask the students to take 60 seconds and really study their partner – everything about them.

  • Then have the partners turn their backs to each other and change three things about themselves. It could be as simple as untying a shoelace, or switching a bracelet from one arm to the other, or unbuttoning a single button.

  • After a minute, ask the students to face each other again and see if they can guess what three things were changed by their partner.
