Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Divide the class into groups of six to eight students, with each group standing in a circle shoulder to shoulder facing each other.

    • Ask each person to reach across the circle with their right hand and grab hands with another student. Then have them do the same with their left hand. They can’t, however, hold hands with the person next to them, and they must choose a different person for each hand.

    • Now tell the group members to work together to untangle themselves without unlinking their hands. The goal is to end with a single circle holding hands.
